Terrell August Lightfeather

Terrell 'Terrelly' Lightfeather, 28, of Hermantown, MN, died on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, MN.
Terrell was born on November 30, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital in Virginia, MN. The son of Terry Lightfeather Sr. and Charlene Hindsley.
Terrell suffered a brain injury in early childhood and due to his injuries, he was placed at Sunshine Family Care, under the care of Ron and Sue Carey and family. They loved and cared greatly for Terrell. Terrell was a fighter and adjusted to his life and what God's plan was for him. Terrell's smile was like a ray of sunshine and his laugh was infectious. He loved when family came to visit him. Terrell loved watching football and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He would roll his eyes when a he saw a Packers jersey. Terrell was also a member of the Buffalo Clan.
Terrell is survived by his mother, Charlene Hindsley; father, Terry Lightfeather Sr.; siblings, Talina 'Babe' Lightfeather, Terry 'Heta' Lightfeather Jr. and Taylar 'Zee' Lightfeather; three nieces, Bernie, Tommie Lee, and Sophia Lynn; three nephews, Talon, Alexander, and Darren Wayne. Terrell is also survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Terrell was preceded in death by two brothers, Darren Cook Jr. and Darik Deegan; sister, Heaven Lee Defoe; grandparents, Bernice Lightfeather and Terry Dupree; stepfather, Darren Defoe; uncle, Charles Lightfeather and niece Wicanti Cloud.
Native American Church Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Siga Funmaker Community Center, with a burial in the Sox Mii Nuk Cemetery. Mr. Kelly LaMere will lead.
