Terrell Lamar Pendarvis was born in Lenox, Georgia to R.E. Pendarvis and Ruby Godwin.Immediately after graduating, he joined the Army. He was stationed at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin where he met Judy Vaningan. It was love at first sight and they were married on August 16, 1956 and had 4 children.His first 3 years in the Army, he was a telephone pole lineman while was stationed in Germany for 18 of those months. After 3 years of service, he reenlisted for an additional 6 years. He was then trained to be a helicopter mechanic and was again stationed in Germany for 3 of those years.After being honorably discharged from the Army, he and his family settled in Lakeland, Florida. They did some moving around, living in Georgia and North Carolina but always returning to Lakeland. He learned printing and worked for several print shops, after which he set up a print shop for First Assembly of God Church where he was an associate pastor for several groups.After serving the church, he went to work for the Sheriff's Department. Then came retirement. During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Judy.Terrell was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edgar Pendarvis and his sister, Majorie Hunnicutt. He leaves behind his wife, Judy and 3 sons, Terrell, Jr., Paul Alan (Kjersten), William Edgar (Jennifer) and a daughter, Penny Lynn Campbell. Terrell's greatest loves were Jesus and his 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday February 19th from 11am – 12pm at Victory Church, 1401 Griffin Rd, Lakeland, FL. Funeral services will begin at 12 and interment with military honors to follow at Serenity Gardens. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.gentry-morrison.com
