Terrence Bridges Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Eggers Funeral Home & Crematory-Chesnee on Jan. 7, 2026.
Terrence Bridges Jr., affectionately known as T.J., was born on May 19, 2015, and entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 2, 2026, at the tender age of 10. A precious little angel, T.J. was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and light.

T.J. was the cherished son of Terrence Bridges Sr. (Latonia Bridges) of Gaffney, SC, and Shawndale Conden of Spartanburg, SC. From the moment he entered the world, T.J. brought joy to those around him. His bright smile, infectious laughter, and gentle spirit had a way of warming hearts and lifting spirits. In his 10 years, he touched many lives and left memories that will forever be treasured.

T.J. loved to laugh, play, and simply be a child. His happiness was contagious, and his presence brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike. Though his time on earth was short, his impact was great, and his love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We find peace in knowing that he now rests in the loving arms of our Lord.

In addition to his parents, T.J. leaves to cherish his memory his loving big sisters: Terrencia Bridges, Zorriya Bridges, Dasha Austin, Shawndria Austin, Tedieig Harris, Jasmine Logan, Tynesha Matthews, and Tre'sure Howie; his big brothers: Zack Bridges and Nathan Howie; and a special remembrance of his late brother, Rico Matthews.

He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Willie Pearl Bridges and the late Lee Brown of Gaffney, SC; his aunts, Sherrie Byrd and Lisa Bridges of Gaffney, SC; his uncles, Allie Bridges, Kelvin Bridges, Terry Bridges, Lee Tate, and Torry Allen, all of Gaffney, SC; along with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends who loved him dearly.

Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the beautiful life T.J. lived and the love he shared. His memory will forever be a blessing, and his smile will remain in our hearts until we meet again.
