In Loving Memory of Terrence Roger Duvernay Jr.
Terrence Roger Duvernay Jr., 52, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on June 9, 2025.
Born on April 27, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Terrence grew up surrounded by the rich culture and warmth of his hometown. His talent and determination shone early, particularly on the football field, where he became a star player at East Lansing High School in Michigan, earning recognition for his skill and leadership before graduating.
Terrence continued his education at Tuskegee University, where he completed the ROTC Program in the Marines, embodying discipline, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. Since 1991, he called Atlanta, Georgia, home, where he forged deep friendships, built a fulfilling career, and touched countless lives with his generosity and strength.
Terrence is survived by his loving mother, Alma Duvernay; his devoted sister, Danielle Duvernay; and his dear cousin, Lisa Menzies Earvin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terrence R. Duvernay Sr.; his grandmother, Alma Mealey; and his grandparents, Wilbur and Edna Duvernay and his aunt Beverely Caitone.
A Tribute Through Giving
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) in Terrence's honor, supporting their mission to improve heart health and well-being among African American men.
