Terrence Walter Ott, 81,of Independence, a dedicated retired draftsman and a wonderful man who loved his family dearly, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Born on January 29, 1943, in Cincinnati, Terrence lived a life marked by devotion to his loved ones and a commitment to his work. He loved woodworking, clocks and watching the UC Bearcats and the Bengals.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl "Sherry" Layman Ott; their daughter, Carla M. Quercioli, and son-in-law, Ron; granddaughter, Sydney Quercioli; and sister, Janis Ann Deck, married to John; his sister in law, Sheila Layman Haas and brother in law, Gary Haas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Terrence was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. Ott and Mildred Mae Denny Ott, whose memories he cherished throughout his life.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Covington, KY 41015. Friends and family are invited to come together in remembrance of Terrence. A graveside service will take place on October 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
Terrence’s legacy as a dedicated family man and a respected member of his community will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He touched many lives with his kindness, warmth, and love. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Ott family.
