Terri Lynn Connard

Terri Lynn Connard, left her earthly home and ran into the arms of her Jesus on February 16, 2025. Terri was born on April 9, 1960, to William Alfred Moore Jr. and Linda Piper Moore in Bellflower, California. She lived her early life in Bellflower and Fort Worth, Texas before coming back home to her roots in Drew County, Arkansas.
After Terri graduated from Drew Central High School in 1977, she joined the workforce before entering college. During this time, she worked for the University of Arkansas Monticello as an administrative assistant to the chancellor, director of the Fine Art Center, and secretary for the SEARK Concert Association. While working at UAM she completed her undergraduate degree with a major in English and a minor in History and became the first member of her family with a college degree and established a love for learning that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. It was at this time she fell in love with teaching and continued her education by earning her Masters of Arts in Teaching Degree and becoming a teacher. She was a well-loved educator in Southeast Arkansas at Drew Central, McGehee, and Dermott schools. In her years as an educator, she was awarded the Arkansas Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the Year. After retirement Terri had the delight to homeschool her own grandsons, instilling them numerous life lessons along with their academic learning. One phrase that has become our family motto came from her time of homeschooling, ''We can do hard things''
In 1986, while working at UAM, Terri met Andy Connard and thus began their beautiful love story. Terri and Andy married June 2, 1989, in the front yard of Terri's parents. Guests in attendance couldn't even hear the vows due to the big trucks rolling down the highway. With this union a family was born because Terri came with a daughter, Miranda Lynn, (Randi) who Andy adopted in the years to come. Soon after another daughter, Bethany Carmel was born, and the Connard Family was complete.
Throughout her life Terri blossomed with her many passions, reading, shopping, gardening, music, but also a love for creating. Terri was an excellent writer on her own but also collaborated with others. One of her most cherished pieces was editing ''My Unforgettable Memories of World War II'' by Dr. Jesse Coker. Not only did she create with words, but she loved creating art, crafting, painting, and turning old
things new when placed in her hands. Her most gifted act of creation was the ability to create joy wherever she was. If Terri was there, you would also find laughter and smiles. She made ordinary days special and holidays priceless and she just made everything so much more.
Above all else in her life, Terri loved the Lord. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at the age of 16 and grew in the grace and knowledge of Jesus the rest of her life. Her greatest legacy is passing on the love of Jesus to her children and grandchildren as she led them to the Lord. She had a beautiful voice and loved to worship, and she was a prayer warrior for her family and the world.
Terri was predeceased by her grandparents William Alfred Moore, Sr and Annie Mae Marshall Moore and Theodore and Velma Rial Piper. Her father, William Alfred Moore, Jr; two brothers William Alfred Moore III and Steven Vincent Moore. She is survived by her husband Andy Eugene Connard; two daughters, Randi McMahon and husband Jonathan of Monticello, Bethany Connard of Little Rock two grandsons Aaron Connard McMahon and Nicolas Monroe McMahon of Monticello, her mother Linda Moore of Monticello and a sister Crystal Cherry and husband Cody of Bella Vista, and her dear friend as close as a sister Georgina Fivecoat of Monticello, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved pups Maizee and Maddie who brought her so much joy.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Celebration of Life services will follow at 4:00 p.m. You can sign Terri's guestbook here on her page.
