Betty Lou Connard (Morrison), affectionately known as Eddy Boo, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, in Hamburg, Arkansas, at the age of 84. Born on August 10, 1940, she grew up in Dermott, Arkansas where she graduated high school.
Betty worked as a hairdresser, bringing joy and beauty to many through her skilled hands and warm conversation. She was a beacon of light in the community, known for her funny, joyful, loving, and upbeat personality. She was well known for her funny, goofy personality.
She was a respected member of Bellaire Baptist Church, embodying a spirit of generosity and kindness. Betty also found joy in her hobbies, which included cooking, spending time with her family, and engaging in the hospital auxiliary volunteer program as a 'Pink Lady" where she was awarded volunteer of the year in 20. Betty was well known for her coconut cake with no coconut and her milk chocolate fudge.
Betty always enjoyed caring for children, she always had a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or cousins she was caring for. She was always there to offer a helping hand when someone needed it.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Eugene, to whom she was married for 54 years; her parents, Lovester and Claude Morrison; her brother, Wendell; and her sisters, Blanche, Joyce, and Becky. She is survived by her brother, Larry Morrison (Wanda); her son, Andy Connard (Terry); her daughter, Kelly Keller (Tad); and her grandchildren, Randi McMahon (Jonathan), Bethany Connard, Courtney Ashley (Tyler), Claire Brown (Bob), and great-grandchildren, Aaron McMahon, Nic McMahon, and Keller Brown. Betty also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dermott Cemetery Association at P.O. Box 324, Dermott, AR 71638, in memory of Betty.
Betty's life was marked by her devotion to her family and community, her faith, and her enduring kindness and cheerful spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
The Family would like to give a Special Thank you to Audrey's Special Place & Hospice for the care they have shown Betty over this past year. They would also like to thank Quin McCullough who cared for Betty & enabled her to live at home as long as possible, she is loved just like family.
