Terry Lee Beres, 72, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with kidney disease, on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Terry was born on March 26, 1953 in Warsaw, Indiana to Joseph F. & Cleo M. (Sours) Beres, who preceded him in death. On April 23, 1976 he married the love of his life Debra (Gadson) Beres in Goshen, Indiana

He is survived by his wife; daughter Jennifer Beres of Goshen; his brother Chuck (Pam) Beres of Goshen; a niece Heather (Greg) Horein of Goshen; and a nephew Scott (Debby) Beres of Albion, Indiana.

Terry was the fire coordinator for the Elkhart County Fair and proudly served 36 years with the Elkhart Township Fire Department. He was the Fire Inspector for Elkhart County and then became the Fire Inspector Trainer. In addition to his commitment and care for our community, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid gun enthusiast, loving to shoot. He also liked working on all kinds of electronics and worked at Duplex Products for 34 years. Terry's brother Chuck is extremely proud of him for his commitment to the people in his community and the dedication he has displayed in his Fire Career. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed in our community.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Yoder Culp Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First In Chaplain Crisis Response Team, Inc. for Goshen Fire Department.
