With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Loren Billings of Newnan, GA who died August 12, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family.
Terry was born June 23, 1950, in Augusta, GA to the late Dan and Dorothy Billings. He grew up in Hapeville, GA and was a 1968 graduate of Hapeville High School. Terry put himself through college earning his bachelor's degree at West Georgia in Carrollton. He worked for many years as a middle school teacher and coach with the Fulton County school system where he loved the challenges of educating the next generation. Terry was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and trusted friend. A man of immense humor, and wisdom who lived life to its fullest and then some. His passion for antiques, sports and his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered.
Remaining to cherish Terry's memory are his son Stephen, and his mother Lyn Billings; siblings, Daniel (Dorothy) Billings, Paulette Blackwell, Susan (Ron) Farst, Buz (Beverly) Billings, Nancy (Michael) Laponzina, and Deborah (Armin) Krupp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
At Terry's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
His family wishes to extend their profound gratitude to the loving and caring ICU staff at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
