Terry Leigh Boles

Terry Leigh Boles, 85, of Oakfield, passed away September 5, 2025, at Houlton Regional Hospital. Terry was born in Amity, Maine on July 10, 1940 to Ollie (Henderson) Boles.

In his early adult life, Terry worked in the logging industry. After he suffered an accident in the woods that left him with a broken back, he attended Hanson Barber School. Terry had a barber shop in his home for many years. When Southern Aroostook Community School opened in 1976, Terry became a custodian there, retiring in 2005 after 29 years. After retiring from SACS, Terry had a lawn care business for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Goodall) in 2017 and his daughter, Gili (Boles) Brown on May 25, 2025. He is survived by his daughter Kelly Sonderman and husband, David, of Oakfield, and his son Eric Boles and Kim Adams of N. Waterboro, Maine; 5 grandchildren, Jocelyn Fitzgerald and Robert Bradbury, Quentin Sonderman and Kerri Spellman, Ian Sonderman, Kylee Smith, and Senior Airman Deryk Boles of the US Airforce ; 5 great-grandchildren, Felicity, Kieran,and MacKinley Conroy, Linden Bradbury, and Sullivan Smith.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 13, 11:00 a.m. at the Oakfield Cemetery with Rev. Reggie Adams officiating. A reception will follow at Bethel Pentecostal Church.
