Terry Bowman Obituary
The Quap family relocated to Philadelphia, where shortly thereafter Leo was killed serving his country, leaving behind his wife June, son Terry, and daughter Deborah. June remarried James Bowman, who raised and loved Terry and his sister Deborah as if they were his own. In 1959 his sister Kathryn Bowman was born.
Terry was a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School, Class of '75. and McCarrie School of Optician. He was very involved with The Ryan Alumni Association for 48+ years.
Terry grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and married Eve (Nee: Erickson) Bowman in 1982. Terry proudly opened Today's Eyewear Optical store in 1984, which is presently owned and operated by his son James. He opened three carwashes in Richboro, Northeast Philadelphia and Hatfield with his business partner, Frank Muller and Co-founded Bowman Residential with his sons in 2019.
He loved North Wildwood, fishing, boating, biking, gardening and spending time with his family, friends, and pets.
Terry was the beloved husband of Eve E. Bowman (Nee: Erickson), the devoted father of James Lee Bowman and his wife Abby, David Edward Bowman and his wife Allison and Kelly Anne Bowman. He is survived by his sister Deborah Bell and her husband Bill, his father- in -law Jack Erickson, his aunt Jean Bowman, many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister- in- law and close friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents and sister Kathryn Bowman.
His family will receive relatives and friends, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM in Saint Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. His interment will be held privately.

I´m so sorry to learn of Terry´s passing. I grew up in the house next door to the Bowman´s, so I remember them all well.

We first met Terry 10 years ago when we purchased our condo in North Wildwood next to Terry and Eve. We instantly became good friends and enjoyed Terry's sense of humor and kind manner. We shared many conversations while looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. Marge and I will miss Terry's friendship and will gaze fondly in the future at the empty chair on the deck in Terry's memory.
