Terry Ray Coffman, son of the late Raymond and Kathryn (Bryant) Coffman, was born April 30, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on November 21, 2025, in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was 71 years old.
Terry grew up in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1972. While in high school, he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. Terry loved baseball and played softball in numerous leagues throughout his adulthood. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
After graduating high school, Terry attended the University of Missouri – Rolla, where he earned his bachelor's and master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, Terry went to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1979, he transferred to Paducah, Kentucky. In 1988, he went to work for The Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas. After 31 years with Dow, he retired in 2019.
Terry enjoyed photography and traveling. He especially loved traveling and visiting the many different national parks.
Terry was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend who will be missed. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Mary Coffman of Richwood, Texas; his son, Charles Coffman of Richwood, Texas; his sister, Mary Beth Perry of Wake Forest, North Carolina; six nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
