Terry Michael Day (Foots) 71 of Oxford Georgia passed away on Saturday April 26, 2025. Born on July 19, 1953, Foots lived a life full of music, laughter and deep love for his family, his friends and his community. A gifted musician, Foots brought joy to countless people through his guitar playing and singing becoming a true entertainer for those around him. His larger-than-life personality, warm heart and easy smile made him beloved by all who knew him. Foots had a deep passion for NASCAR racing and was a lifelong fan of Number 3, Dale Earnhardt. He cheered for every race with the same spirit he brought to every part of his life.
Foots is survived by his brother Mark Day along with his wife Margie Day; Nephew Drew Day and wife Kristyn Day along with their children Dilyn, Austyn and Westyn Day; and his niece Jena Inscore and husband Justin Inscore along with their children Jacob Inscore and Jentry Inscore. "Not a walk behinder, a new note finder" Foots's love for family, friends, music and community will live on in the memories he helped create and the hearts he touched. He loved big, lived fully and will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Service for Foots will be at 3:00PM, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home with Reverend Lynn Head officiating. Interment will be at Cornish Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
