Terry Lee Goheen passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife and family. Terry was born in Carrollton IL. He was the son of Harry Stockton Goheen and Verna Lucile Goheen née Miller. Terry attended Jerseyville Community High School and was a part of the Class of 1968.. On November 7, 1992 Terry married Vivian "Faye" McBride née Wahl in Alton. Illinois.
In 2015, after 30+ years, Terry retired from Jefferson Smurfit Corp. aka Alton Box Board Company
Terry was a quiet, gentle soul. He enjoyed weekly lunches and card games with family, motorcycle trips, target shooting, traveling to various casinos, and numerous Kentucky trips with his wife Faye, as well as spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by his four children, Terry (Julie) Goheen of Dow, Codi Soffray of Jerseyville, Harold (Angela) McBride of Shipman, and Jamie (Grey) Bahorich of Belleville; grandchildren, Tyler (Kristen) Bricker of Godfrey, Aryne (Greg) McBride of Wood River, Kristen Mitchell of Rosewood Heights, Bailey (Andrew) Schwan of St. Louis, Sawyer (Sara) Bricker of Highland, Paige Goheen of Wood River, Abby (Justin) McBride of Edwardsville, Cassie (Brendan) Moran of Alton, Jacob (Jaela) McBride of Maryland Heights, Taylor Soffray of Jerseyville, and Emily McBride of Dow; great- grandchildren; TJ, Dade, Jasper, Declan, Daphne, Archer, Serena, Cameron, Connor, Caden, and Tucker; sister, Joy Goheen-Hendy of Jerseyville; brother-in-law, Conley (Farsha) Wahl of Fosterburg; two sisters-in-law, Grace Goheen of Jerseyville and Patricia Goheen of Wood River; best friend of 60 years, Phil Schroeder and many nieces and nephews, and his beloved fur babies Milo, Whinny, and Roger.
Preceding him in death are his parents; Harry & Verna Goheen; son in law, Rodney Bricker; granddaughter, Lindsey Bricker and brothers, Harry "Dutch" and Donald Goheen.
At Terry's request, there will be no funeral services. Instead, a LIVING Celebration of Life was held on Sunday 8/10/25 at the Goheen residence. Terry visiting with family & friends one last time, was a priceless gift and brought him great joy!
