Mr. Terry "Turtle" L. Jessee March 3, 1960 - November 4, 2025
Mr. Terry "Turtle" L. Jessee age 65, of New Tazewell, passed away Tuesday November 4, 2025, at his home. Terry was born March 3, 1960, to Homer and Bertha Jessee who precede him in death. Terry was a member of the Little Barren Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Terry enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a truck driver, operated heavy equipment and repaired small engines.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Bertha Jessee and niece Denise Walker. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Joyce Jessee, daughter Jana Loope and husband Jason, and son Kelly Jessee. Grandson-sons Kelly Lee Jessee and Michael (Mike) Jessee. Special granddaughter Macee Loope. Brother Hollis Jessee and wife Pat, sisters Peggy Stewart and Betty Runions. Nephew-brother Darrell Walker and wife Pam. A host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday November 12 from 5:00pm till 7:00pm in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Cabbage and Rev. Tommy Louthan officiating. Music by Jim Rosenbalm, Brenda Cupp and Miss Tee Cabbage and sisters.
