Terry Norman Johnson, age 85, of Beaver Creek Twp, MI passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 surrounded by his loving family in Roscommon, MI.
Terry was born to Norman and Barbara (Annis) Johnson in Grayling, MI on September 17, 1940 and remained in the Grayling area his whole life. He married Stella Ann Spencer on January 14, 1967 at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. Together they raised 7 children.
He loved metal scrappin', which is what he could be found doing day in and day out. He had quite a collection of guns and stamps that he was very proud of. He enjoyed the outdoors and deer hunting.
Terry's memory will be cherished and remembered by his family: wife of 59 years, Stella Ann Johnson; daughters, Pamela Johnson and Tanya Lewis; sons, Norman Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Terry Wade Johnson, Tony Johnson, and Elvis Johnson; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Durfee. He is preceded in death by Lee Bob (Shirley) Johnson and Patrick (Alice) Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10:00 am until the beginning of funeral service at 12:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI. A luncheon will follow at the Beaver Creek Twp Hall. Burial will take place in the spring of 2026 at Beaver Creek Twp Cemetery.
