Terry Landers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Mar. 30, 2026.
In Loving Memory of Terry L. Landers

Terry L. Landers, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on March 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was born on October 2, 1952, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to James and Patricia Moore.

Terry graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1970 and went on to build a life centered around faith, family, friendship, and selfless love. Throughout the years, she worked in several different roles, but her longest and most dedicated career was with OSSO, where she faithfully served as a pre-certification specialist and scheduler for 20 years. After retiring, Terry embraced the role she treasured most - being present for the people she loved.

On March 3, 1972, Terry married the love of her life, Ron Landers. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage built on love, loyalty, laughter, and family. Of all the joys in Terry's life, nothing meant more to her than her children and grandchildren. She found her greatest happiness in cheering from the stands, sitting through countless games and activities, and simply being there for every milestone, every celebration, and every memory made.

Terry had a gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and supported. She was selfless in every sense of the word - always putting others before herself, always offering grace, and always showing up when she was needed. Her heart was gentle, her spirit forgiving, and her love for her family ran deep and true.

She also treasured the dear friendships she shared with Paula Creed of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and Duana Samuels of Oklahoma City. Whether it was shopping trips, laughter-filled conversations, or simply spending time together, Terry deeply valued the bond she had with those she loved.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia Moore; her sister, Kathy Thornton; her brother-in-law, William Thornton; and her grandparents, Mary and Delmer Cleaver.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ron Landers, of the home in Moore, Oklahoma; her son, David Landers and wife Kathy of Flower Mound, Texas; her son, Bryan Landers and wife Sherry of Washington, Oklahoma; and her daughter, Angie Sharp and husband Randy of Purcell, Oklahoma.

Terry was a proud and loving grandmother to six beloved grandchildren: Alec Landers and wife Lauren of Flower Mound, Texas; Kyle Landers and wife Kylee of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Andrew Landers and wife Sierra of Blanchard, Oklahoma; Faith Landers of Washington, Oklahoma; Alyssa Sharp of Purcell, Oklahoma; and Adam Sharp of Purcell, Oklahoma.

One of Terry's sweetest joys was the anticipation of becoming a great-grandmother. She was especially excited to welcome her first great-granddaughter, Channing Grace Landers, who will be born later this summer - a blessing she held close to her heart.

Terry will be remembered for the quiet strength she carried, the love she gave so freely, and the way she made her family feel like the center of her world. Her life was a beautiful example of love in action - steady, faithful, and unconditional. Though her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at John M Ireland and Son Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
