Terry A. Langkam

Terry A. (Eckert) Langkam, 69, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully at WellSpan York Hospital on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was the loving companion of Michael Simms.

Born January 17, 1957 in Baltimore, Terry was the beloved daughter of Janice A. (Markline) Eckert and the late Russel W. Eckert, Jr.

Terry spent her life trying to do good for everyone and every creature she encountered. Above all else, she cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved. She found joy in the simple beauty of the outdoors, whether she was gardening, hiking, horseback riding, or fishing. Those who knew Terry will remember her for her caring spirit, her love for nature, and the deep devotion she had to her family.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward, including her daughter, Tiffany A. Langkam of Glen Rock; her son, Frederick W. Langkam, Jr. and his fiancée Brittany Sanders of Glen Rock; and her adopted son, Ryan Harmon.

She is also survived by her siblings, Travis Eckert, Darren Eckert, Cindy Crowl (Dave), and Deborah "Debbie" Dean; her cherished grandchildren, Carter Harmon, Tanner Langkam, and Braelyn Langkam; her niece April Crowl, nephew Dalton Eckert, and great-nephew Daxton Eckert.

In addition to her father, Terry was preceded in death by her brother, Russell "Reds" W. Eckert III.

A memorial service celebrating Terry's life will be held at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, on Friday March 27th at 4pm, with Rev. Cindy Orewiler officiating. The family will begin to receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, with arrival beginning at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Care Associates of York, 25 Monument Rd., York, PA 17403, in honor of Terry's memory.
