Terry Ray Legate Jr.

Terry Ray Legate Jr,Age 51,of Winfield Mo, passed away November 1, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Mo. Terry was born on December 12,1972 in Granite City, IL to the late Terry Legate Sr and Nancy(Dean) Turner.
He attended the local schools with his siblings. After high school graduation, Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army and he was honorably discharged after three years. Terry loved the outdoors. He was an avid trout fisherman and could always be found at his favorite fishing spot at Montauk State Park on opening day, March 1st. Terry was also a diehard football and baseball fan. He was always cheering on the Chicago Bears and the St Louis Cardinals. He loved to be in the sports action even if it was just fantasy football.
Terry is survived and will be missed by his fiancé Shawna Nicol, his three children Kyle, Emma and Jade Legate, along with his three step children, Justyn, Mataya and Ryon Beavin,that he has helped raise the past 10 years. To him they are all his kids. He is also survived by his loving Mother and her husband Nancy(Mike)Turner, of Granite City Il. Terry is leaving behind three younger siblings; Angie(Randy)Werner of Chester IL, Pam(Chris)Master of Glen Allen MO, and Paul(Stevi)Legate of Granite City IL. Terry was a Grandpa to two grandsons: Liam and Malakai. He has a granddaughter on the way that we know he would have adored. Terry is an amazing uncle to nine nieces and nephews. Jacob, Mason, Katie and Ethan Werner of Chester IL, Dale Bradly, Dean and Lee Masters of Marble Hill Mo, Logan Wyant and Loren Legate of Granite City IL and two great nephews Nolan and Gus Bradley along with a great niece Emily Werner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Legate Sr.
Terry will be missed by everyone he knew and loved.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1 p. m.- 6 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379 (1636) 528-8244
Memorial Service- will also be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 6 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379 Full Military Honors will be held. Rev. Steve Kohler to officiate.
