Terry Nelson Obituary
She was born May 31, 1941 in Louisville a daughter to Charles Whitner Milner, Jr. and Charlotte Terry Milner. Her husband, John Thomas Nelson, III; daughters, Mary Thompson and Charlotte Laslie and a brother, Charles W. Milner, III precede her in death.
Terry was a catholic by faith, as she and John Thomas were former members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She loved reading and was a member of and looked forward to her reading club, The Happy Bookers. Along with reading, Terry enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond. She volunteered countless hours to the Our Lady of Peace Auxiliary Board and Shedd Academy. She will be missed by many.
Terry is survived by her daughter, Nancy Davis (Jeff); son, John T. Nelson, IV (Amisu); son-in-law, Paul Thompson; grandchildren, Mark Thompson, Helen Winstead, Christopher Thompson, James Laslie, Sabrina Davis, Cricket Davis, Miranda Nelson and Samantha Nelson; as well as great-grandchildren, Corbin, Bradley, Conner, Maddison, Zane and Isabelle.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews. Funeral Services will follow at 1 pm, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. There will be a private family viewing at 10 am.
