Terry O'Hara, 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Born September 20, 1940, in Windber, PA, he was the son of the late Olin M. O'Hara and Faye (Hechler) O'Hara.
Terry was a 1958 graduate of Windber Area Senior High. He went on to serve honorably during the Vietnam Conflict in Korea and Vietnam from 1962-1965. He retired from Roadway Express in 2002, where he was employed as a trailer mechanic. Terry loved woodworking, camping, Christmas, taking walks at Cowans Gap, vacations on Bailey Island, Maine, hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.
He is survived by his present wife, Julie (Browning, Sparks) O'Hara; one daughter, Tracy A. Gift (Donald) of Chambersburg, PA; three sons, Terry L. O'Hara II (Lori), Howard Faust (Laurie Miller) both of Chambersburg, PA, and Donnie (Teresa) Faust of Howe, IN; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a stepson, Marc Sparks, and siblings, Tammy R. (Kim) Pearson, Debra Parker, and Ginger (Harry) Barnes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Leah M. (Phillips) O'Hara; one sister, Patricia L. Foust; and one brother, James M. O'Hara.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 2 PM at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10 AM -12 noon in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
