Terry L. Olson, 70, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on December 7, 1954, in Waynesboro, PA to the late James Warren and Dorothy Marie (Smith) Olson.
Terry was a 1973 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He spent a portion of his life working at Long Beach Naval Shipyard and Letterkenny Army Depot as a civil service employee and later went on to own and operate Atlas Instrument Co. with his brother, Gary. Terry was a member of the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599, Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, Knights of Columbus, and the Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 41 all in Chambersburg, PA. In his free time, Terry loved riding his Indian motorcycle, spending time with his sons, friends and family, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Julie M. (Carl) Olson of Chambersburg, PA; sons Adam Olson and his wife Mary of Pittsburgh, PA; Eddie Olson and his significant other Jackie Viard of Long Island, NY; siblings Darlene, James, Gary, Eric, and Trina; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Sherry, a niece, and a nephew.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
