Terry Wayne Rash, age 70, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.
Terry was born August 27, 1953, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Jerry and Nancy Sue (Simpson) Rash. He was united in marriage to Kathy King on December 10, 1976 at Shelbina Christian Church in Shelbina, MO. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Rash of Shelbina, MO; two children, Jeff (Jenni) Rash and Abby (Wade) West both of Shelbina, MO; eight grandchildren, Montana (Nikki) Schoonover of Pickering, MO, Madysin Rash of Moberly, MO, Masen Rash of Shelbina, MO, Landon Albin of Macon, MO, Landon West of Macon, MO, Gavin Tharp, Preston Tharp, and Slade West all of Shelbina, MO; two great grandchildren Rawlins and Riggins Schoonover one brother, Lonnie Rash of Shelbina, MO; mother-in-law, Shirley King; aunts, Linda Milner and Piva Ornelas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry; brother, Tim Rash; and father-in-law, Donnie King.
Terry was a long time member of the Shelbina Jaycees, Shelbina Cemetery Board, Shelbina Fire Protection Board, Farmers Mutual Insurance Board, and Shelbina Christian Church. He worked for US Bank for 37 years. After retiring from the bank, he worked for Pest Pro Solutions and drove a school bus for the South Shelby School District. Terry enjoyed watching NASCAR and dirt track racing. He even raced dirt track with his son for a time. He also liked watching demolition derbies, college football, the NFL, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Terry loved time spent with his grandchildren, especially when he got to take them hunting.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home in Shelbina. Burial will be held at Shelbina Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Shelby County Senior Citizens, or Donor's Choice.
