Terry Lee Schexnider

Terry Lee Schexnider, age 58, of Singer, LA, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Terry is survived by a large and loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Scallon; grandchildren, Hallie, Bella, and Cade; mother, Margie Schexnider; brother, Don Schexnider and wife Kathy; nieces and nephews, Doug, Kristen (Justice), Dakota (Will), and Alissa (Furman); along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He has gone to join his father, Harold "Sonny" Schexnider; his sister, Sheryl Schexnider; and his niece, Layken Schexnider, on the streets of gold. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Loretta Carlin, Ivey Schexnider, and Leona Babineaux Johnson.
Terry was a man who found his greatest joy in his family and the quiet peace of fishing. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his loved ones find comfort in the promise of being reunited with him one day.
"We look forward to the day we see him again on those streets of gold."

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Oretta Pentecostal Church, 185 Missouri St, Singer, Louisiana. Pastor Dustyn Rose, and Bro. Mike Streams of Brushy Creek Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment to follow at Oretta Cemetery, Singer, Louisiana.
