Terry L. Spaniol, 66, died at Hutchinson Regional Hospital on May 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. Terry was born June 24, 1958, in Hutchinson, to Billy Spaniol and Zella (Landes) Spaniol.
Terry grew up in Plevna and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1977. She was a waitress at Anchor Inn on and off for the past 30 years and worked as a dog groomer at Alyssa's Chop Shop, where she was loved by everyone who worked there as well as the clients that she took care of. She enjoyed all things animals, especially dogs. She loved going to the lake with her lifelong best friend, Tammie, where you would find her on a floatie or taking a wacky ride on the golf cart. She enjoyed being on the beach, long road trips with friends and family, gardening, making dream catchers and other crafts; and especially loved spending time with her family, friends and beloved animals. She was looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild later this year.
Terry is survived by: daughter, Shana (CJ) Peavy; grandsons, Jacob, Kobe (Kc), Chris (Skylar) and Bruce Peavy; granddaughter, Alexis Haugsness; sisters, Cindy Renollet, Melody Vest, Holly Spaniol, Heidi (Chris) Evans; step-siblings, Sherry Landes (Todd Brillhart), Jeff (Kendra) Landes, Gary (Teresa) Landes; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong best friend, Tammie Hazell.
Terry is preceded in death by: her parents; two infant brothers; a granddaughter; fur baby Toker and many other beloved pets.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in her memory are suggested to Redemption Animal Rescue, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501 or online at https://redemptionanimalrescueks.com/donate.
