Terry Wayne "Sparky" Sparkmon, age 66, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at his home. Born Monday, January 20, 1958, in Danville, Kentucky to the late Fred and Maggie Boggs Sparkmon. Terry leaves behind his loving wife Brenda Seward Sparkmon, who he married Friday, September 5, 2008. He was of Baptist faith. Terry was a member of the IBEW local #369 for 30 years. He loved spending time with his friends and family, playing cornhole and riding four wheelers. Terry will be greatly missed.
Along with his wife, Terry leaves behind one stepson, Steven Rohland of Waynesburg, Kentucky; three brothers, Kelly Sparkmon of Walltown, Kentucky, Orlis Sparkmon (Becky) of Highland, Kentucky, and Glyn Sparkmon of Waynesburg; four sisters, Lillie Forste (Herb) of South Carolina, Phyllis Austin of Walltown, Sandra Johnson of Stanford, Kentucky, and Beverly Morgan (Jimmy) of Waynesburg; Terry leaves behind a host of family and friends that will love and miss him. In addition to his parents,
Terry was preceded in death by one sister, Dorene Singleton; one nephew, Jason Sparkmon; a brother-in-law, Mike Austin; and a sister-in-law, Gail Sparkmon.
A Public Visitation will be held 12-2PM Friday, September 27, 2024, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. The service will be livestreamed on Terry's memorial page of the funeral home's website.
Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery. Tony Estes, Steven Rohland, Craig E. Seward, Steve Cornett, Craig J. Seward, Jimmy Morgan, and Edward Roland will serve as Active Pallbearers. Ricky Upton will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
