Terry Stevens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium on Jan. 13, 2026.
Terry Kirkland Stevens, born on December 25, 1947, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 78.

He was the beloved son of the late Anna Elizabeth Stevens and Madison Preston Stevens. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Terry lived a life defined by integrity, dedication, and deep love for his family.

Terry was married to his loving wife, Linda Diane Stevens, with whom he shared many years of partnership and devotion. He was a proud father to his two sons, Patrick Scott Stevens and Christopher Aaron Stevens, both of whom achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a distinction that brought him great pride. He was also a cherished grandfather to three grandchildren: his oldest granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Stevens; his granddaughter, Olivia Victoria Stevens; and his youngest grandchild and only grandson, Andrew Addison Stevens, all of whom brought him immense joy.

He built a successful career with AT&T Telecommunications, specializing in sales. His professionalism and commitment led to multiple career promotions, resulting in relocations from Jacksonville, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia, then Dallas, Texas, and finally Germantown, Tennessee, where he made his final home.

Known for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and ability to build lasting relationships, Terry earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. He approached both his professional and personal life with sincerity, reliability, and quiet strength.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on through his wife, sons, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched throughout his life.

Visitation services will be held on January 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at Griffin Chapel at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, located at 4761 Brunswick Road, Arlington, Tennessee 38002.

We did not have the opportunity to know Terry personally, but we have the great privilege of knowing Patrick and Lily, whom we love very dearly. They are extraordinary people-kind, thoughtful, and deeply caring-and a credit to the families that raised them. Our hearts go out to Terry´s loved ones, especially his mother, during this time of loss. May her strength, and the love of family and friends, bring comfort and peace.

Terry was not only a professional Account Executive, but also a talented, giving and funny entertainer! He was always involved in the Telephone Pioneers, entertaining at the Foster Grandparents Christmas luncheons, wrote lyrics to music for the Memphis in May showmanship contests, entertained the children at St Jude as Dr. Itzy the Clown and always contributed to the sales retreats skits. He brought the spirit of giving by sharing his talents and I so enjoyed working with him. Terry, you fought the hard fight and you earned your wings. Rest in the arms of Jesus and know you touched the hearts of many.

Terry had the respect of both his peers at ATT as well as his customers from both a professional and personal basis. He was multiple talented from a musical and writing skills. Plus, he was quite smooth on the dance floor. Rest in Peace, Terry.
