Terry Louise Whitaker
October 21, 1954 – October 20, 2025
Terry Whitaker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She lived her life with joy, laughter, and a contagious spirit that brightened every room she entered.
Terry was born in Calhoun, GA and was a proud Oak Ridge High School graduate, where she was known for her energy and enthusiasm as a cheerleader. Her zest for life and ability to uplift others carried through all stages of her life. After graduation, she began her career at Walt Disney World, where her warmth and charisma led her to the honor of serving as a Walt Disney Ambassador to Georgia. Later, she transitioned to a leadership role at the CVS warehouse & distribution center, where she was respected and admired as a manager until her retirement.
Terry approached life with the same passion and joy she shared with her family and friends. She was the life of every gathering, a source of laughter and light, and someone who made others feel seen and loved. Her faith in Christ guided her steps.
She is survived by her husband, Les; her three children, Lauren Morris (Brad Morris), Shannon Smallwood (Chad Smallwood), and Michael Whitaker (Christie Whitaker); eight cherished grandchildren; her mother, Tommie Tindall; her brother, Ron Chesser (Patricia Chesser) and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at E3 Community Church on Saturday 10/25 at 10:00 AM.
“So with you now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” – John 16:22
