Tevan Devante Davis

Tevan Devante Davis, 25, of Morganton, passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center, Winston-Salem after a period of declining health. Tevan was born January 4, 1992 in Burke County a son of Anthony Davis and Tina Renay Caldwell of Morganton. He was a graduate of Freedom High School and employed as a food preparer in the restaurant industry. Tevan was a bright young man, who left us all too soon. He brought laughter and smiles to our faces. As he grew up he was a responsible, young but mature little boy. He loved playing basketball and no disease was going to keep him from that. As he grew up, Tevan was like any typical boy, into boy toys like go carts, dirt bikes and motorcycles. Tevan will never be forgotten, always living on thru his children. Tevan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Laura Caldwell and two uncles, Allen and Heath Caldwell. Surviving in addition to his parents are his son, Kazlyn Devante Davis, his daughter, Brooklyn Marie Davis, a brother Marcus Davis, a sister Natyri Davis and grandparents, Johnnie Woodruff and Charlie Mae Davis all of Morganton and god son, Isaiah Brown. Also surviving are a host of cousins and friends. Funeral Services for Tevan Devante Davis will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Shiloh A.M.E. Church. Interment will follow at Avery Berry Fullwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Shiloh A.M.E. Church.
