Theodore Roosevelt "Pete" Barnett

Theodore R. Barnett "Pete", 81, of Seaford Delaware passed away at home on Saturday morning, January 25, 2025.
Pete was born and lived his early years in Davey, West Virginia. He went on to serve 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He then lived in Wilmington, Delaware and worked at the General Motors Assembly Plant for 30 years and retired. He married his wife Doris in 1965, they were married for 39 years.
Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at their beach home in Chincoteague, Virginia. He was a big football and NASCAR fan. After Pete retired, he and Doris settled down in Seaford.
He was preceded in death by his wife Doris in 2004, and his eldest son, David S. Barnett in 2024.
Pete is survived by his son, Perry S. Barnett, wife Lori of Seaford, his daughter, Teresa L. May, and her husband Ronnie, of Oxford PA., his daughter-in-law, Judy Barnett. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Pete had 8 siblings, only 1 still living- Thomas Barnett 88 years old, he lives in Townsend, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 3 PM in the Townsend Cemetery, 759 Caldwell Corner Rd., Townsend, DE 19734.
