Theodore Jasper Obituary
Born and raised in Passaic, Theodore graduated from Passaic High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from St. Leo University and graduated from medical school in Bologna, Italy. He practiced psychiatry from 1996 to 2015.
Dr. Jasper was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family, cooking, and entertaining.
Dr. Jasper is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tiziana; his sons, Luca and Alfredo; his father, Philip; and his siblings, Carmel, Gabriel, Josephine, Maria, and Vincenza. He was predeceased by his mother, Vincenza.
Visiting hours will be held from 10 am to 2 pm Sunday, December 19 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will conclude the visitation at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation (https://www.lungcancerresearchfoundation.org/) would be greatly appreciated by the family.

We will miss Ted´s indomitable spirit and great sense of humor. I was blessed to teach Ted when I was running the psychiatric emergency room at St. Vincent in NYC and he was a psychiatry resident for four years. He was a compassionate caring physician and he died much too young.

Remembering and missing Theodore´s beautiful energy and spirit. We lost a bright light much too early. Fond memories of supervising him as a great psychiatry resident at St Vincent´s in Greenwich Village and of Theodore and his Dad supporting the Cerfolio family and myself by showing up for my father´s funeral. Blessings to his family at this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So tragic to hear of Ted's passing. Fond memoires of teaching Ted as a resident in psychiatry at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Greenwich Village in NYC who was always eager to learn, had a great sense of humor and an empathic, caring physician. His memory will live on in those who lives he influenced. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
