JOSEPH, Theodore Roosevelt With Sandy, his wife of 51 years and two sets of twin boys, Theodore Roosevelt Joseph passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023 at home after a well-lived life of love, passionate work, and family filled success. Known as "Teddy," "Big T," "Ted," "Dad," and "Grandpa Theo," he was a husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend to many. His lasting impact will be missed but will always be felt in the rich legacy of the many lives he touched throughout his journey as a child of immigrant parents from Albania. His perseverance and determination led him to the top of his profession within the technology sector and more importantly as the patriarch of a beautiful family who already misses him deeply. Ted and his brother Joe were born and raised on Walnut Street in Brockton, "The City of Champions." Ted's blue collar upbringing was a source of immense pride. An excellent baseball player, golfer, and accomplished boxer, Ted was a golden gloves athlete who enjoyed sports and coached his four sons to numerous little league and CYO basketball championships. He was an avid fan and supporter of the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics. He was a longtime member of Wellesley Country Club. Named Theodore Roosevelt after the 26th President of the United States, Ted felt a great affinity for his first generation American upbringing. In his late teens, Ted joined the United States Coast Guard. After graduating from Stonehill College in 1963, along with a brief stint in law school, Ted then joined the ranks of Honeywell's burgeoning technology corps. This led to a meteoric rise through the ranks leading regional, national, and global sales organizations. In his later years, he attained the title of CEO for numerous cutting edge tech companies. Throughout his early business travels in the U.S. and Europe, home was never far from Ted's mind. Neither was the girl of his dreams, Sandy Saba also of Brockton, who was a lifeguard at the local Ellis Brett Pond. Not to be deterred in love, Ted ultimately won his bride after a courtship deeply bonded over 15 years. Married in 1972, Ted and Sandy lived a Southern California lifestyle in Marina del Rey, where Paul & Louis, their first surprise set of fraternal twins were born. Three years later, having moved to Brookwood Hills in Atlanta, Georgia, Peter and Michael, identical twins arrived. Now blessed with two sets of twin boys, the Josephs moved to Wellesley during the Blizzard of '78, their current home where neighbors and family said their goodbyes to Ted. Ted was a bastion of steadfast love and loyalty. To his sons and countless others within his circle, Ted revealed the benefits of a purpose-filled life lived vigorously and fueled by hard work, integrity, self-belief, and family. Ted is survived by his wife, Sandy; and four sons: Paul (Amanda), Louis (Vinita), Peter (Marina), and Michael (Sarah); six favorite grandchildren: Casey, Ryan, Bodhin, Bair, and fraternal twins, Grace & Abigail; his sister-in-law, Louise Joseph; and nieces Michelle Szczurko (Dan) and Kathy Pryles (son Andrew). Ted was predeceased by his loving parents, Vrsidha & Paul Joseph; and brother Joseph P. Joseph. The family would like to thank the excellent medical caregivers from Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital, Elizabeth Seton Rehabilitation, and Good Shepherd Community Care. Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Route 16), WELLESLEY, on Tuesday, July 25th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John The Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Road, Wellesley Hills, on Wednesday, July 26th. at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial and interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 148 Brook Street, Wellesley.
