Theodore Antonios Kacavas

Theodore Antonios Kacavas, age 88, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Constantina (Stavropoulos) Kacavas with whom he enjoyed 66 years of marriage.

Born on April 10, 1937, in Ano Giannaioi, Greece, Theodore was the son of the late Antonios and Triandafillia (Trigkilidas) Kakavas. In 1955, he immigrated to the United States and made Lowell, Massachusetts his home. He began his working life in a local shoe factory and, in later years, found joy and purpose as a cook at Supreme House of Pizza in North Billerica, where he was admired for his dedication and warm personality.

Theodore enjoyed following his favorite baseball and football teams, and cherished spending time with friends at the local Greek Kafenio, where laughter and companionship were always present. He will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the joy he brought to those around him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Theodore is survived by his children Antonios "Tony" Kacavas of Wichita Falls, TX, Louie Kacavas and his girlfriend Iris Tsitsipas of Lowell, and Maria Kacavas of Lowell. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Theodore Kacavas and his wife Jessi Hayes-Kacavas of North Chelmsford, and Constantina Michelle Kacavas of Wichita Falls, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings Zoe Kennos, Vasilios Kakavas, Nikolaos Kakavas, and Efstathia Dimakarakos.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 10am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis Street, Lowell. Interment will follow in Westlawn I Cemetery, Lowell.
