His Legacy Theodore George Myers Jr., 84, passed away May 13, 2024. He was born on October 28, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan to Theodore Myers Sr. and Lyda (Jones) Myers. Ted married the love of his life, Susan (Thomas) Myers, on August 3, 1985. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years. After retirement, he worked in telecommunications at U of M for 25 years. Ted was at one time, the president of the Livingston County Alano Club and an active sponsor to many in AA. He was a friend and mentor to many who were struggling. In his downtime he enjoyed scuba diving, riding his Harley and spending time outdoors. Ted liked to hike and would go on what he called "survival hikes" up north, taking only what would fit in his backpack. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. Ted was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
His Family Ted will be missed by his children, Jacque McVicar, Elizabeth Anderson, Kelly Scott, Theodore (Carol) Myers III, Charla (Chris) Gallup; grandchildren, Taylor, Victoria, Harry, Bradley, Madie, Mitchell, Shelby, Jade, Summer, Serenity; 9 great-grandchildren; and cousin, Charlotte Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Myers; parents, Theodore and Lyda Myers; sister, Connie Houston; brothers, George Myers, James Myers.
His Farewell Ted's family will gather for a committal service and burial Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10:30AM, at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please leave a message of comfort for Ted's family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign his guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
