Theresa Edmond was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 29, 1933 to the late Vernon Gibson and Mildred Adams. She was their only child. Theresa was a member of New Saint James A.M.E. Church where she served as a Stewardess.
Theresa attended the public schools of Duval County and graduated from Stanton High School where she went on to attend Spelman College.
Theresa met and married the late Herbert Lee Edmond Sr. to this union six children were born, in which one daughter (Janice Brown) has preceded her in death. Later in life she met and had two children with the late Eugene Foster
Jr. "Sugar T" as she was so lovingly called loved cooking and baking, she loved watching western movies and, doing crossword puzzles.
She became an avid hardcore football fan when the Jacksonville Jaguars started playing in Jacksonville. Her most joy came from having family dinners with her children and grandchildren.
Theresa was called home on October 13, 2023. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories two sons; Herbert (Butch) Edmond Jr. (Elizabeth) Lakewood, Washington, Michael Foster, Gresham Oregon; five daughters:Jennifer Harris, Jacqueline Edmond, Spanaway Washington, Deborah Wright ( Terry) Savannah Georgia, Charlene Edmond, and Syteria Brown (Tim) Spanaway Washington; 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 22 great great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends.
