Gloria Jean Lightfoot, 81, was born Gloria Jean Willis on October 8, 1943 to Dennis and Jeanette Willis in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from East Technical High School in Cleveland and proceeded to Spelman College in 1960. She attended Greenforest Community Baptist Church for over 30 years, where she also served as the Executive Assistant to the late Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr. George O. McCalep, Jr. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Jeanette Willis; her brothers Dennis Jr. and infant Darryl. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia; her sisters, Evelyn Willis Martin, Annette Willis Alexander, and Dr. Renée Willis; her nieces Cierra Bickerstaff (Stephen), Shayla Tenny (Anthony); her nephews, Nathaniel Willis and Christopher Alexander; great-niece, Shyanne Willis; great-nephew Jordan Bedford; and an extended family of cousins, and beloved friends. Loved ones are invited to attend a memorial on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, 2941 Columbia Drive, Decatur Georgia 30034. There will be no repast following the memorial. It is kindly requested that, if possible, guests not wear all black. We are not mourning her death. We are celebrating her life. Services entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home, 4347 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, GA 30034
