THERESA GRACE BORNINO (nee Monteleone), age 83, of Broadview Heights, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024. Beloved wife of Leonard J. "Len" Jr.; loving mother of Lisa Mason (Greg), Terrilynn Bornino-Elwell (Dale), and Lenny (Emily); cherished grandma of Matthew Mason (Kailee), Kaleigh Bowman (Drew), Braeden Bornino, Colin Bornino, and Ethan Bornino; great grandma of Charleigh Bowman, Wesley Mason, Henry Mason, and Parker Bowman; caring daughter of the late Carmelo and Carmela Monteleone (nee Audino); dear sister of the late Mary Catherine Kupiecki and the late Domenic Monteleone. Theresa passed away surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to unconditional love and devotion to her family, whom she cherished above all else. She spent many dedicated years as a bank teller, where she was known for her warm demeanor and generosity, often delighting her loved ones with crisp, new dollar bills. Her selflessness and ability to always put her family first left a legacy of love and care that will live on through those who knew her. She found immense joy in the little things that brought her family together, from cheering on her kids and grandkids at various extracurricular activities to sharing her love of her husband Lenny's homemade Italian food. She, like many of us was a die-hard Cleveland fan and loved watching sports. Theresa was an avid fan of Hallmark movies and daily soap operas and found comfort in life's simple pleasures. She also had a youthful, adventurous spirit, from her days riding roller coasters to her love of finding thoughtful gifts that brought great joy to her children and grandchildren. Theresa and husband Lenny spent over 20 wonderful years in Florida during retirement, building lasting friendships and embracing life to the fullest. She had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a heart full of kindness that touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved her. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (OHIO RTE. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR MEMORIAL VISITATION TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2024 FROM 3-7 P.M. Dear Lisa, Greg, Mr. Bornino, and the entire Bornino Family, We are sorry we cannot be there with you today to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bornino with you. Although it has been many years, I have great memories of seeing Mrs. Bornino at Society Bank, her kindness, beautiful smile, and the way she liked to laugh. I am sure she will be greatly missed by all. Please know that you are in our thoughts today and during this difficult time. Jim and Bridget Miko

I couldn´t believe my ears when I learned that Gary´s dear Aunt Terry had passed away-she was so full of life and love!! She was one of those people who truly leave a very noticeable absence when they leave your company. To think of the world without her feels like imagining the impossible. She just had so much love and light in her that it was contagious when you were around her.

Thinking about the things I´ll remember most about Terry, I came up with two very potent memories that really speak to who she was as a person. First, there was the great LaLaLoopsy quest!! Oh my, what lengths did Terry go in her efforts to get Kaleigh the doll she wanted??!! She was running crazy, going to stores, having others go to stores, covering every base, and leaving no store unturned in the search. It was so funny!! Sensing that she might not be able to locate the exact doll that Kaleigh wanted, I asked her if she thought maybe Kaleigh might be just as satisfied with a different doll in the line. Her response made me laugh! "Absolutely not!!" she exclaimed. When I asked her why, she simply said, "Because it´s the one she wants!!!" Rest assured, Kaleigh did not have to settle....

Then there was the shopping excursion I took with Terry and Lottie to the mall in Fort Lauderdale many moons ago. What was I thinking???! These two veteran shoppers kept me at the mall all day long!! I had the privilege of spending most of the day with Terry, who enjoyed the company and my opinions on potential purchases. The thing I noticed while she was shopping was how much of the merchandise was for others, though. She had such generosity of spirit-she absolutely inhabited the idea that there is more joy in giving than receiving.

I can only imagine what Terry´s incredibly close knit family is going through in processing her untimely passing. Gary has been beside himself. I can´t even imagine a world without her-she was so vivacious and alive!! That never faltered, even in the face of many health challenges she always seemed to surmount, somehow. Her passing stings so because it was not expected, except for maybe to Terry herself, and her beloved Lenny. I understand that they both expressed their concern about her making it home from the hospital as she faced this last challenge. Terry and Lenny is a love story for the ages, as anyone who knows them will tell you. I have no doubt that they were tuned in to a frequency all their own. Hearing that Lenny had doctor´s orders not to visit her at the hospital in her last weeks was heartbreaking, to say the least. He always had an angel in Terry, and now he certainly has one in heaven. She might have changed horizons, but everyone who knows her knows that her impact will reverberate in those who knew and loved her throughout their lives.

I want to express our deepest love and sympathy to all those who knew and loved dearest Terry, most especially her family. Terrilynn, Dale, Lenny, Lisa, and the rest of the family took such great care of her with the health problems she seemed to face more and more regularly in the last chapter of her life-you couldn´t ask for a better support system. She was blessed with the best of the best.

It´s so wonderful that Terry got the opportunity to see her beloved Kaleigh (and Drew!) and Matthew´s Kailee give birth to her beautiful great grandchildren. The last time I saw Terry, she was positively glowing with adoration and love, sharing videos and picture books lovingly created to celebrate her tiniest new family members. We have no doubt they´ll grow up getting to know "Grandma´, as Greg always endearingly referred to Terry, through pictures and videos of her through the years.

It´s just like them that Lenny and Terry made such an effort to be so involved in Emily and little Lenny´s boys´ sports and other extracurricular activities. No doubt, they will cherish the memories of their grandparents´ involvement always. Lenny and Terry were always regaling us with tales of Collin´s baseball and piano achievements, as well as Ethan and Braeden´s new hockey moves. All of the amazing family vacations will serve as a reminder of what real family really is. What beautiful memories they will certainly have of their grandparents, and they will never forget Terry, who was so unforgettable!!

God Bless, and Godspeed, Terry. You will live in many, many hearts forever-we´ll never forget you!!!
