Theresa Helms Obituary
A funeral service to celebrate Theresa's life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home, with Steve Swango officiating. She will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens, where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Born on August 30, 1955, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, Theresa was the daughter of the late William Uhles and the late Annie Ingram Uhles. She dedicated twenty-five years of her life to a book bindery company before devoting over ten years to Walmart. She found joy in crocheting and was an avid fan of the television show NCIS. Theresa had a strong and independent mind but showered her family with unconditional love. Her most cherished moments were spent with her grandchildren, creating many lasting memories.
Theresa is survived by her loving children, Donetia (Chris) Garcia of North Carolina, Roger (Tracy) Helms, Jr. of Goodlettsville, TN, Kelly (Bruce) Norris of Columbia, TN, and Jeffery (Emma) Helms of Lewisburg, TN. She is also survived by her brothers, Ronnie (Scarlett) Uhles, Gary Uhles, Tony (Kristie) Uhles, sisters, Diana Gammon, Sharon (Andy) Yaney, Karen (Scott Kirby) Uhles, Amy (Kenny) Jackson, Angela (Lee) Yaney, her cherished grandchildren, Meghan (Devin) Williams, Katie (Quinton) Walkup, Madison (Will) Mangrum, Angelica Hodge, Ruben Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Maressa Garcia, Jasmine Helms, Emma Helms, Magaly Martinez, Mason Norris, Dallas Norris, Jeffery Helms, Jr., Timmy Scott Pugh, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Eugene Helms, Sr., on February 11, 2014, her sisters, Sheilah Bush, Kathy Banks, and Melanie Uhles, and brothers in law, Danny Gammon and Tommy Banks.
