Donohue Funeral Home - Newtown SquareTheresa Ann Izzi (nee Carbo), age 91, of Havertown, PA, passed away on November 7, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Guido and Aurelia Carbo (nee Gionta). Theresa illuminated the lives of many with her sparking blue eyes and her truly sweet disposition.
A proud graduate of the West Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1952, Theresa carried the spirit of her education into a life marked by love, dedication, and culinary artistry. She was known far and wide as a wonderful Italian cook, a title she wore with pride as she delighted family and friends alike with her delectable creations.
Her passions extended beyond the kitchen; Theresa possessed an abiding love for her family, which she cherished deeply. Her favorite vacation spots were the beautiful shores of Ocean City, New Jersey, and Wildwood Crest, where laughter echoed and memories were forged. In quiet moments, she found joy in the thrill of a mystery book, immersing herself in stories that captivated her imagination.
Theresa was the loving mother of Denise DiArcangelo (Anthony) and Stephen Izzi (Debbie); adoring grandmother of Andrea Devenney (Stephen), Anthony DiArcangelo III (Mary), Kristen Ganley (Daniel), Stephen Izzi (Danielle), Christopher Izzi (Taylor), and Matthew Izzi (Devon). Also survived by 20 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
