Theresa Bonnie Litteer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa (Teri) Bonnie Litteer of Lancaster, SC, who left us on August 25, 2024, following a long illness, at the age of 76. Born on October 11, 1947, Teri was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a dedicated healthcare professional who touched countless lives throughout her career.
Teri was married to her devoted husband, Philip Litteer, for 55 years. Formerly from Henrietta and Fairport, NY - together, Teri and Phil built a life rich in love and happiness. She is survived by Phil and their two sons: Eric (Susan) Litteer of Athens, GA, and Brian (Mary) Litteer of Marlborough, MA. She leaves behind five cherished granddaughters, Alexis, Anna, Paige, Meghan, and Brooke, who were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her sister, Mary (Henry) Lux of Myrtle Beach, SC, and many nieces and nephews.
In her professional life, Teri was a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her journey began in the Army Nurse Corps, where she laid the foundation for a career marked by compassion and excellence. She retired from Strong Golisano Children's Hospital, spending the final years of her career helping adolescents with eating disorders. Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature made her a beloved figure among the families she served.
Her legacy of kindness, love, and dedication will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Teri's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
A private service will be held to honor Teri's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
May her soul rest in eternal peace. She will be deeply missed.
