Theresa Mary Nixon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Mary Nixon, age 73 of Ira Township, on August 18, 2025. Theresa was born on September 13, 1951 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Arthur "Skip" and Roseann Beckman. She was the beloved wife of the late Gregory Nixon. Mrs. Nixon was a homemaker, a dental assistant, and a devoted volunteer for local organizations and causes. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2784 in Fair Haven, and the VFW Post 7573 Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons Gregory (Tara) Nixon and Adam Nixon; and daughter Tara (Chris) Sage. She was a loving grandmother of Miranda Sage and Lola, Mabel, and Ruby Nixon. She was the cherished sister of Rose (Lloyd) Hartwell, the late Robert (Karen) Beckman, Don (Rae Ann) Beckman, Doris (Joseph) Sikorski, Arthur "Butch" (Nannette) Beckman and the late Joseph Beckman. Memorial Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Wasik Funeral Home – Gendernalik Chapel, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Scripture Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. followed by a praying of the Holy Rosary. Continued visitation Friday, August 29, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church, 9764 Dixie Highway, Ira, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share in the loving memories of Theresa. The family kindly requests that donations be made to The Fr. Solanus Center. Theresa's eternal light touched many lives and will continue to burn bright among those she loved, supported, and cared for. She will be greatly missed.
