Theresa Caroline Richards

Theresa Caroline Richards, age 73 of Cloverport, KY passed away March 27, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Breckinridge County on July 16, 1952, daughter of the late Jesse "Pete" Richards and Zelma Howard Richards. Theresa was a retired employee of the Breckinridge County Board of Education. She taught the children of Breckinridge County for over 30 years, of which 27 was as a kindergarten teacher at Irvington Elementary School and the remainder at Cloverport Independent Schools and St. Romuald Interparochial School. She was a supporter of Cloverport Wesleyan Church and loved her pets.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Nora Magdalene Horsley who died in 2009 and an infant brother Jesse Richards, Jr.

Theresa is survived by her brother Gerald Richards of Key West, Fl.

Nephew: Steven Horsley (Donna Turpin) of Cloverport, KY

3 great nephews and niece: William, Michael and Alexis Horsley.

Graveside services will be held at Cloverport Cemetery on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 3 PM. There will be no visitation.
