Theresa Lynn Walters

Theresa Lynn Walters, 53, of Paw Paw, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at Bronson Methodist Hospital.
She was born October 12, 1969, in Groton, Connecticut, the daughter of Thomas Drake and Jeanne (Buck) Drake.
Theresa was known for the excellent meals she prepared and the treats she baked. You could always count on the refrigerator being stocked to maximum capacity at all times. Her two favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas. She especially loved Halloween and went to the extreme with her abundance of decorations, especially pumpkins. At Christmas time she loved to watch her favorite movie "The Night Before Christmas". Theresa loved to be around the water and enjoyed sailing. She took pride in her garden and was an avid antique collector.
Theresa had a servant's heart. Her career in nursing was a true calling, she loved the work she did and all of the patients she cared for. Family was most important to Theresa. She always made time for her grandchildren and cherished times spent together.
On June 17, 1989, she married her best friend, Rick Walters who survives.
She is also survived by her mother; Jeanne Drake, brother; Thomas (Amy) Drake; son; Kyle (Alyssa) Walters; daughter; Kaitlyn Fox, father and mother in law; Frank and Adele Walters, and her beloved grandchildren; Kai and Ari Walters.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Drake.
Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, October 6th, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be placed in her grandchildren's college trust account. Checks should be made payable to Theresa Walters.
