Theresa Marie Welsh-Kilmer, a life-long Wappingers Falls resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Sunday, October 19, 2025; at the age of 65. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 6, 1960, daughter of the late Joseph D. & Barbara M. (nee Belding) Welsh. She attended St. Mary's School in Wappingers Falls, NY and graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School, class of 1978.

On April 29, 2006, she married Leroy W. Kilmer, who predeceased her on December 19, 2024; after 18 years of marriage.

Sadly along with her husband and parents, Theresa was also predeceased by her two daughters, Colleen Alfonso and Annmarie Welsh.

Theresa is survived by her cherished Aunt Catherine Mazochi and Aunt Ethel Booth, grandchildren: Addyson Alfonso and Rocco Caccomo; along with her two sons-in-law, Kevin Alfonso and Angelo Caccoma. She is also survived by her seven sisters and three brothers: Mary Ellen (Stanley) Still, Patricia (Steven) Slansky, Joseph Welsh, Margaret (John) Dorn, Joanne Weber, Michael (Manuela) Welsh, Barbara Efstratiou, Kelly (James) Lloyd, Christine O'Rouke, Sean Welsh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Theresa was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her siblings and grandchildren. Theresa's grandchildren were the light of her life. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking road trips with her sisters. Her 18 years of marriage to Leroy brought them both great joy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 4-7PM at the DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME, 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10AM, Friday, October 24 at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, followed by interment in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
