Mrs. Theresa M. Wirth

Theresa Marie Wirth, passed from this life Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on February 27, 1959, in Brattleboro, Vermont, to David A. and Irene Ruth Brooks Dearborn.
The year 1998 was marked by joy as Theresa married Ronnie Lucas on December 22, a union that brought forth many years of happiness. She is warmly remembered by her devoted children, Barbara (Walter Elliott) Allee of Indianapolis and Jason Wirth of Florida. Her legacy of love continues to flourish through her grandchildren, KeSean, William, Joseph, George, and Hailee, and she was blessed to meet her great-grandchild, Archer. Theresa's enduring spirit is mirrored in the lives of her sisters, Maureen (Butch) Bounds and Kathy (Perry) Hoell. Her passing follows her dearly departed husband, Ronnie Lucas, and her parents.
Theresa's zeal for her career was apparent to all; she often expressed her wish to continue her professional endeavors until the age of 70. Her industrious and energetic nature was a source of inspiration. Within the community, Theresa was a dedicated member of Bethel Holiness Church for over 16 years, attending regularly and fostering a nurturing space for faith and fellowship.
Beyond her professional and religious commitments, Theresa had a genuine passion for technology. She was most content when resolving computer issues for her family and friends, assembling new machines, or simply enjoying the web's vast expanse during moments of leisure. Above all, the joy of her heart lay in the time she spent with her grandchildren. Each moment shared, every memory made, were the treasures she held dear.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington St. with Pastor Keith Waggoner officiating. Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Theresa will be laid to rest next to her late husband at Garland Brook Cemetery.
