Theresa Zapata, a beloved mother to 6 children, age 74, of Seguin, Texas, passed away at Christus Santa Rosa surrounded by her family on July 2, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was proceed in death by her Father and Mother Gustavo and Angelita Sanchez, brother Benito Sanchez, 3 grandchildren Anthony, David, Andrea and long time campion Jose Angel Silva. She is survived by her children Erma Perez, Domingo Sanchez, Sandra Ponce, AnnaLisa Perez, Amanda Ontiveros (wife Jessica),and Laura Zapata (Alex ”Max”).
Theresa had 17 grandchildren and 14great grandchildren and expecting 4 more great grandchildren. Theresa has 7 siblings Manuel Sanchez, Joise Boyles, Mr. & Mrs. Moses Sanchez, Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Sanchez, Mr. & Mrs. Leandro Sanchez, Gustavo Sanchez Jr, Mr. & Mrs. Raymundo” Bird” Sanchez,
Theresa was a devoted mother and her pride and joy were her grandchildren.
Theresa took special joy in cooking, listening to her music and being around her family especially her grandkids.
Serving as pallbearers will be AJ Romero, Jacob Perez, Jared Robinson, Pablo Gonzalez, Alex Sabedra, and Domingo Sanchez.
A special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors of CSR, Sundance Inn, and Davita Dialysis for all the care they showed our mother and our family.
We will never forget the love she brought into our lives. Our Mom/ Grandma will be deeply be missed!
The family will receive condolences on Thursday July 10, 2025 at Palmer Mortuary from 5pm to 8pm.
Visitation will continue on Friday July 11, 2025 at Palmer Mortuary, starting at 8:30 am. A funeral service begin at 10am with Robert Flores officiating in the Palmer Mortuary Chapel and interment will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
