Therese' Marie Scarberry, age 63, of Pickens, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on Monday, September 18, 1961, to Nettie Dorothea Marten Sands in Los Angeles, California. Therese' was a woman of deep faith and great love, devoted first to God and then to her family. As a faithful member of Pickens Free Holiness Church, she lived her life in service, with her heart centered on the Lord. She cherished her late husband, Ronnie, and found her greatest joy in her children and grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. She dedicated much of her time to serving her community. Therese' volunteered with the Pickens Volunteer Fire Department, where she also served as Treasurer, as well as at the Pickens Community Library and the local food bank. Her career with the Oklahoma Forestry Department spanned 26 years, beginning at Bear Mountain Tower as a forest fire tower observer and later as an administrative assistant at the Battiest Forestry Office. Beyond her work and service, Therese' lived life fully and joyfully. She loved swimming at the lake, creating arts and crafts, arranging flowers, painting, and spending time outdoors camping, riding four-wheelers, and playing volleyball.
