Therese M. (Bouvier) Frenette, 97, a loving mother, Mémère, and Pawtucketville resident, went home to the Lord on June 20, 2025, after living a wonderful life filled with love, faith, and family.

Born in Wilmington on July 2, 1927, Therese moved to Lowell at the age of six and remained a resident of Lowell for over ninety years. She was very proud of her French Canadian heritage and always enjoyed the annual French Canadian celebration week. Therese was the happiest when she had family and friends gathered at her kitchen table for a visit and conversation. Therese was an avid reader with a love for historical fiction. She enjoyed crocheting, walking in her neighborhood, and watching the birds at the feeders from her porch rocker.

She was the loving wife of the late Roland Frenette until his passing in 1984, and mother of the late Donald Frenette Sr. who passed away in March 2019. She was the daughter of the late Damase and Helene (Filiatreault) Bouvier, and predeceased by her siblings, Edmond, Alfred, Paul, and Maurice Bouvier, Georgine Lyko, Cecile Desmarais and Rose Foucher.

She was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish and most recently the Parish of St. Rita.

Therese will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Elaine, and her wife, Elise, her sons Richard, with whom she resided, Gerald, and his wife, Mary of Chelmsford, Marc, and his wife, Susan of Johns Island, SC, her daughter in law, Patti Frenette of Salem, NH,

She was a wonderful and caring Mémère to her grandchildren, Donald Jr. and his wife Norma, and their children, Manuel Adurno, Iris Noelis Santiago and her children Julian, Jadiel, Izaiah, Zahnaya, Jean Santiago and his children Jazaih, Jaythian, Navyiah, Glenda Cruz and her husband, Stanley and their children David Achillies, Aaliyah, and Emiel; Nicole Hart and her husband Mike and their children, Kira and Caleigh; Christine Geary and her husband Jeff and their children, Matthew and Libby; Gregory Frenette; Katie Pinette and her husband Chris and their children, Nolan and Grady; Sarah Tomas and her husband Tim; Nick Frenette and his wife Kaylene with a son due in September; and Andrew Frenette; a sister-in-law, Jodie Bouvier; a brother-in-law, Raymond LeMere; and many nieces and nephews. She was a kind and thoughtful person who will be missed by all who knew her. Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and compassionate staff on the West Wing at D'Youville Senior Care for the exceptional care provided to Therese.

It being Therese's request, there will be no visitations. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 23, at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsborough. Committal Services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those wishing may make a donation in her memory to a charity of your choice.
