Mr. Simmons was born on March 20, 1950, in De Queen, Arkansas. He worked at the radio station in Mena, he was a mason, enjoyed fishing, and playing penny-ante poker.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Carl and Edna Claudine Fowler Simmons; two brothers, Billy Joe Simmons and Norman Simmons; and one sister, Marie Wax.
He is survived by one brother, Winston Simmons of Mena, Arkansas; one sister, Joyce Karen Simmons of Albany, New York, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside funeral service for Mr. Simmons will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Grannis Cemetery with Carl Ray Simmons officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral home in De Queen.
