Thomas “Tom” Allen Anderson, 61, resident of Columbia, died January 14, 2026 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Souls and Rev. Dedra Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Born August 7, 1964 in Nashville, TN, he was the son of Rev. John Williams Anderson and the late Marcia Hurt Anderson. Tom worked for Eco Lab for many years as a technician, served in the National Guard and was an avid card player. Tom was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his father, Rev. John W. Anderson; brother, Mark (Cathy) Anderson; nephews, Preston Anderson, Taylor Anderson; niece, Leslie (Jimmy) Egerton, and eight great nieces and nephews.
In Addition to his mother, Marcia Hurt Anderson, he is preceded in death by nephew, Matthew Garrett Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Preston Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Doug Burgess, Ray Roberts, Jimmy Egerton, Jeff Farris.
